Caitlin was born and raised in Toronto,
Canada, where she was exposed to a thriving arts and theatre scene at a very early age. She was only four years old when she began taking dance lessons at Roland and Romaine Dance Studio (famous for being the same dance studio where Mike Myers trained and would later put that training to use in those awesome Austin Powers dance sequences). Eventually, Caitlin became part of a professional dance troupe that performed musical comedy at malls and conference centers in and around the greater Toronto area. It was through dance that Caitlin quickly developed and became aware of her fondness for the stage. So she enrolled at the Theatre for Young People and spent her weekends taking acting classes. After finishing high school, Caitlin decided to attend the University of Western Ontario where she graduated with an Honors Bachelor of Arts Degree in Media and Communications, as well as a double minor in Writing and Psychology. However, now that she had a degree under her belt, she was determined to shift her focus to acting full-time. Caitlin moved to New York City to attend the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts, the oldest American acting conservatory with an impressive group of alumni including Lauren Bacall, Anne Bancroft, and Robert Redford. During her two years of intense training, Caitlin landed lead roles in numerous productions including Olivia in an all-female version of Twelfth Night and Sorel Bliss in Noel Coward’s Hay Fever. Since graduating from the Academy, Caitlin has been working consistently on a variety of films, commercials, and theater gigs. In what little free time she has, she enjoys observing people in Central/Bryant Park, catching up with friends over coffee, and watching the special features on DVDs…you learn so much from those things!!!
