Diana Sanchez has been an international programmer for the Toronto International Film Festival® since 2002. Along with choosing Spanish and Portuguese language films for the 2003 Festival, Sanchez also was responsible for the programming of Vida de Novo: The New Brazilian Cinema, TIFF’s 2003 National Spotlight.

Sanchez has been involved in a variety of other festivals and cinematic presentations. She is programme consultant at the International Film Festival Rotterdam as well as for Skip City, a digital film festival in Japan. She is the Director of Miami Encuentros, a program of the Miami International Film Festival, which serves as a meeting place for Latin American producers and North American distributors.

Sanchez has programmed two series (2004 and 2006) for Cinematheque Ontario, focussing on recent trends in New Argentine Cinema. She also presented a series of Cuban Cinema at the Royal Ontario Museum in October 2006.
