Biography

Larry “Syid” Wright: Produced/Writer/Director: Has written several short stories and screenplays. Grand Slam was showcased at the 2006 Greensboro Fringe Theater Festival. Grand Slam was also part of the 2005 National Black Theater Festival in Winston Salem NC. In 2007 Larry was a finalist for the Roy W. Dean film grant. Producing, Directing and filming a documentary on the Triad Youth Jazz Society along with shooting the short film titled M and Nick later this year. Larry will produce& direct both films. The Triad Youth Jazz Society is a school that teaches kids 8-18 how to play and read music along with teaching them about the history of jazz. April 12th 2008 Grand Slam was part of the Heritage Festival in downtown Greensboro, NC. The Festival is part of the Cities 200 year Bicentennial celebration.Grand Slam is set to perform Saturday August 16th 2008 6pm at the City Arts Studio Theater 200 North Davie Street in downtown Greensboro, NC.
