Filmmaker and photographer Francesco Carrozzini was born in 1982 in Italy.
Having studied philosophy in Milan, in 2004 he moved to New York City where he lives and works.
His first feature documentary “Wierszalin” was officially selected for the Cracow and Locarno international film festivals. Carrozzini has also collaborated with Sony and Italian MTV and in 2005 has directed the official promo for the Venice Biennale. He’s also working on a series of films for the New York Times.
A regular contributor to publications such as L’Uomo Vogue, Casa Vogue, Liberation and 10 Magazine, amongst others, Carrozzini is also involved with The Global Medical Relief Fund, for which he is developing a documentary project.
His photography and videos have been included in several group shows, alongside the work of internationally reknown artists; in 2007 he had his first personal exhibition in Milan.
Francesco Carrozzini is currently developing his first fiction film project, and is preparing a documentary with the American photographer Deborah Turbeville.
