War of Films Rules
Our online film contest, War of Films, will be on hold for the upcoming 3 months. In the meantime, you can still get sponsorships and raise money on Film Annex to finance your upcoming film projects.
Every week, Film Annex will select a filmmaker, a film and a Web TV to feature on its homepage (www.filmannex.com). We call this the "sponsored" content. If your Web TV is sponsored, you will gain significantly higher revenues within that week.
What makes your Web TV a good candidate to be featured on Film Annex's homepage?
A complete filmmaker profile, uploading an awesome short (or several), managing/organizing a good Web TV and being active on the Film Annex platform. Use the "Admin Your Web TV" button on your dropdown menu to get started. Check out our current sponsored Web TV to get tips.

War of Films is an online film contest that rewards the most popular film on Film Annex’s network with $2000 at the end of each month.
The votes are based on the Facebook Likes, Tweets, and Google +1(s) a particular movie collects through a one-month period. The movie that gets the highest number of votes combined will win the prize. The likes, tweets, and +1(s) will be tracked by the Film Annex system, and only those submitted by registered users who are logged into Film Annex will be part of the total number. This number can be different from the total number of likes, tweets, and +1(s) reported by Facebook, Twitter, and Google.
The winner will be announced on the first day of the following month. The movies will be presented in the order of votes (from highest to lowest) on www.waroffilms.com through out the month.
How do you participate in the contest?
If you’re uploading a new film, check the War of Films box under the “Available Contests” section on the upload form.
If you already have an uploaded film that you want to include in the War of Films, go to “MyPage” and click on “Admin Your Movies” and then “Edit Movie Data” for a specific movie. Scroll down and check the War of Films box.
RULES AND GUIDELINES
1) Only full-length films are eligible to win the contest. Trailers, clips, b-rolls, interviews, web series, and similar content will be disqualified if submitted.
2) The winner will receive payment two weeks after the last day of the month. So if you win the January contest, you will get paid on the 15th of February, etc. For international participants, the best way to get paid is through PayPal. If you’re in the United States, we can send a check to your address or pay you through Paypal.
3) The Film Annex tracking system will start counting tweets and likes at the beginning of each month and reset at the end in order to allow the Film Annex team to declare winners.
4) The winner can join the contest again with a different film, but will not be eligible to win the prize again with the same film.
DISCLAIMER: Film Annex reserves the right to deny prizes to winners who use inadmissible and illegitimate ways to collect votes, such as click fraud, unauthorized ads, etc.
