Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour' of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever.

Roger Ebert Film Critic Passes Away

At age 70 the veteran Film Critic Roger Ebert passed away today as was announced by The Chicago Sun-Times, where he had worked for many years.
Roger sufferd from cancer of the thyroid since 2002 that resurfaced in 2012 when he was operated from a hip fracture.

He reviewed movies on The Chicago Sun-Times and on the television shows Sneak Previews, At the Movies, Siskel and Ebert at the Movies and made popular the "Two Thumbs Up" reviewing approach.

His last post was:

"At this point in my life, in addition to writing about movies, I may write about what it's like to cope with health challenges and the limitations they can force upon you. It really stinks that the cancer has returned and that I have spent too many days in the hospital. So on bad days I may write about the vulnerability that accompanies illness. On good days, I may wax ecstatic about a movie so good it transports me beyond illness."

"I'll be able at last to do what I've always fantasized about doing: reviewing only the movies I want to review."

Roger Ebert received the only Pulitzer Award given for Film Criticism in 1975.

Dealine, reported today that Robert Redford is in talks to play a high-ranking agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the upcoming film Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which is said to be a political thriller inspired by Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting's acclaimed arc in the comics.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is set to open in theaters on April 4 2014.

Bryan Singer has confirmed through his twitter account that Hugh Jackman will reprise his role as Logan aka Wolverine in the next X-Men movie by posting the following text:

"I would officially like to welcome @RealHughJackman to the cast of #Xmen Days of Future Past. Very excited! More to come..."

Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen will also return in special roles along with the main cast James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and Nicholas Hoult.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is set to be released on July 18, 2014.

At first reluctant to become involved, and then counted out because of the perceived ineptitude of his small town force, Owens ultimately accepts responsibility for one of the most daring face offs in cinema history.

The Last Stand opens in theaters on January the 18th of 2013.
