I shot everything 60fps to get some decent looking slow-mo that I've been wanting to practice with for ages. I'm not the strongest editor so this has been as awesome opportunity to use jump cuts, editing to the beat and trying to maintain some interest/structure. This is the type of observational film that lets me have fun... Usually I convert assembled video file to Apple Pro Res in Mpeg Stream-clip and then import into FCP. (This time I didn't...) This is just a 'straight out of the box' test. Basic camera settings - AV mode (Aperture Priority) - ISO 100 - f5.6 1 sec exposure 1 photo every 10sec 412 photos Created in 'Time-Lapse Assembler' h.264, 24fps Converted to Apple Pro Res in Mpeg Streamclip. Edited in FCP What have I learnt? That I probably want a higher f stop for sharper looking clouds.
