Biography

Kārlis Vītols (Latvia, 1979)

A 1997 graduate of Rozentals Art College, Master of the Humanities in Painting, the Latvian Academy of Arts. His work in authorial animation has been presented internationally. The films THE RED GLOVE and KLOIJHI were included in the selection of the Latvian alternative film.
But animation film “Trophy” Awarded like BEST ANIMATION of BALTIC STATES at “International Film Forum ARSENALS 2004.”
also Nomination like “Best animation artist” at National Film Forum
“Lielais Kristaps 2005” (Latvia)
In a year of 2007 the animation Film “Garden of Fetish” was included at Oberhousen Short Film’s festival international competition (Germany).
