A young woman lies dead in a swanky apartment. A small caliber gunshot wound to the head. It is 1935 and on the case is a private detective of renown. He looks over the body and the apartment and finds a safe. After careful figuring out the combination and looking inside the safe, he comes to the realisation who killed this young beauty. Suddenly the detective seems to be going in and out of existence. What is happening to him is more mysterious than the murder itself.
