"Chilling Effect"-Eurozone Crisis

The Eurozone crisis has now continued largely unabated since early this summer. EU leaders once again met this weekend (October 23, 2011) in Brussels to debate the options; however the solution is probably still at least a week or more away.

As UK Prime Minister David Cameron stated, the crisis is having a "chilling effect" on EU and world economies. Global markets will be spurred by uncertainty, volatility and high drama.

I have little doubt that it will be resolved over the longer term. Nonetheless, whether it is brinkmanship, lack of clear direction/leadership or politicians procrastinating, the delay is causing real economic harm globally as well as perhaps to the fabric of the EU>
