Crownfish by John Hobbs

Independent Films, Teens, Kids' movies, Comedy

Director John Hobbs' vision of turning an image of a penguin and a beauty queen into a short film was to dial up the oddity. Since he already found the picture dream-like, his objective was to have fun with it and leave enough room for the audience to fill in the blanks on their own. John Hobbs was an award-winning art director for many years before becoming a film and commercial director.

I am new to this site and actually to the independant film industry. I have been going to the events in Park City for years and have help with funding and using my influence with Robert...but this right now is a first. I looked at the film because I liked both subjects...beauty queens and Pinquens. The movie was pretty well done as far as I am concerned. I saw the two subjects as alike..."he" in his black tux and she the homecomming 'beauty queen' in short...the film worked for me. Don Juan
