Democracy to You?
Independent Films, Teens
The United Nations asked young people from around the world on the International Day of Democracy: "what does democracy mean to you?"
This year has been a remarkable one in the history of democracy. Millions of people participated in the dramatic events in the Middle East, North Africa and beyond, and yet more followed with intense interest. Above all, we saw young people making their voices heard and championing the democratic ideal. In this video, we see young people from around the world reflecting on what democracy means to them.
