Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector

Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector is a 2006 film starring American stand-up comedian Larry the Cable Guy. Larry, a municipal restaurant health inspector, is assigned a new rookie partner after recklessly closing restaurants for code violations, Amy Butlin (Iris Bahr), by his boss, Bart Tatlock (Tom Wilson). Together, Larry and Amy work to solve a series of food poisonings at four-star restaurants.Larry, a big city health inspector with questionable practices and his own way of doing things is given a new partner who was hired by Tatlock (Larry's deranged boss) to try and get the information needed to get him fired. Amy (Larry's partner), who is a bit of a perfectionist and serious person, is the complete opposite of Larry. She tries to learn the ropes of health inspecting while putting up with Larry and his personality as well as getting the information Tatlock needs to get Larry fired.As Larry and Amy go around trying to do dirty things as a city porn star shop, another person was going around poisoning four-star restaurants. Trying not to start a panic and getting the "epidemic" under control Tatlock puts his best people on the job (not Larry). Larry and Amy were called in on one of these poisonings, but not allowed to pursue the case due to the importance that it holds to Tatlock and the city in general. After the let down by Tatlock, Larry and Amy go about their business of inspecting lower restaurants. Meanwhile, the mayor is tricked into getting Larry put on the job; Larry and Amy are excited and get right on it. Amy goes on an undercover mission with Larry as back up, and get some circumstantial evidence against the mayor.The next day Larry and Amy approach the mayor during an interview with the news and accuse the mayor of poisoning the fancy restaurants in the city. The mayor (quickly defending himself) proves that the information Larry has is true but misconstrued. After this incident, Larry is fired from his inspection job by Tatlock.Feeling bad about what he did, he visits his old friend Big Shug. After finding out that Larry believed that the poisoner was Shug at one time, Larry is kicked out Big Shug's restaurant. Heading home, Larry sees that his girl was with the mayor in an unusually friendly manner. Larry, feeling as if his life has hit rock bottom realizes that the only thing to do is to solve the crimes.
