Synopsis

poster for Hankerchifs For SalePaavo is forced to sell handkerchiefs on the street to get money for his bitter and tired father. At home Paavo escapes his harsh reality by drawing pictures of happier tmes and thoughts. One day three old ladies with runny noses give paavo crayons instead of money for his handkerchiefs... and dad gets mad.
A facinating mixture of puppet-, hand drawn and computer animation. A combination of strong visual storytelling and intense emotions.

We like!

Great 3D mini adventure with awesome soundtrack and high production value. Particularly like the 2D speech bubbles juxtaposed against the 3D world.

Thank you WaNa. And thumbs up for Cleaning Women´s soundtrack - they did amazing work. Anyway: there is only about 20 seconds of 3D in this movie. It is all puppets + 2D animation. Im happy to be a part of this pioneer work that started 2001 and was shot with 3,7 mega pixel digital still camera without changeable lenses. Our studio room was no bigger than 25 square meters.

Handkerchiefs For Sale

I just can say it's a brilliant and precise work. A clever, impressive and really entertaining animation with 16 minutes great sounds during the film. I have no idea how long did it take to do the motions of the puppets and the computer work all together? Hats off! So it's a great idea to mix these techniques.
I have the highest regard for the team!


Csak azt tudom mondani, ez egy ragyogó és precíz munka. Ügyes, hatásos és rendkívül szórakoztató animáció 16 perc jól eltalált hanghatásokkal. El sem tudom képzelni, összesen mennyi időt vett igénybe a bábuk mozgatása és a számítógépes munka? Le a kalappal! Szóval óriási ötlet keverni ezeket a technikákat.
