Hong Kong Dreaming
by Swaroop kanchi
Hong Kong Dreaming is a postmodern romantic Dramedy (drama+comedy). A London university dropout returns to the well dressed streets of Hong Kong in search of the childhood memories of her estranged and now deceased father and for her tax-free inheritance to sustain her West Kensington lifestyle.
Unfortunately, she finds out that he died penniless and alone, with only a clue to a treasure he left especially for her. Meanwhile, she runs into her high school tormentor & ex best friend, Charlie, a broke, nervous and lost actor wannabe. Together, they hunt down her father's inheritance & get to relive their moments of friendship. An existentialist film about the true value of money and the dull numbness of lost identities.
