The Dark Night
by Charlie Chaplin

The follow-up to the action hit "Batman Begins," "The Dark Knight" reunites director Christopher Nolan and star Christian Bale, who reprises the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman.

With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and the committed new District Attorney, Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham City for good. The triumvirate initially proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as The Joker, who thrusts Gotham into anarchy and forces The Dark Knight ever closer to crossing the fine line between hero and vigilante.

Academy Award nominee Heath Ledger ("Brokeback Mountain") portrays arch-villain The Joker, and Aaron Eckhart plays District Attorney Harvey Dent. Maggie Gyllenhaal joins the cast in the role of Rachel Dawes. Returning from "Batman Begins" are Gary Oldman as Lieutenant Jim Gordon; Oscar winner Michael Caine ("The Cider House Rules") as Alfred; and Oscar winner Morgan Freeman ("Million Dollar Baby") as Lucius Fox.

...And also the BEST BATMAN!! Christian Bale has it all! He is the PERFECT Batman since Michael Keaton - lets just say Bale is the PERFECT Batman PERIOD!! I was a bit disappointed that he used an American accent during the "making of" and the off scene discussions as he has a beautiful British accent. I think of him as the male version of Cate Blanchette, who can play anyone from a rich American brat in the Talented Mr. Ripley to Queen Elizabeth, as innocent Bobby from All the Little Animals grew into the psycho he played with Freddy Rodriguez in Harsh Times to the hailed Dieter Dangler in Rescue Dawn, with his not only many accents, but this guy is so brilliant that he's multilingual!! It's like he becomes the part he's playing as Russel Crowe says. But SEEING The Dark Knight movie is truly believing - and I am so happy about the lack of CGI and use of good ol' stunts...well, pretty EXTREME stunts, that is. **YAY!!!**{{BIG APPLAUSE}} to the truck turning up on end!! **WOW!!** I totally can not believe that was Health Ledger as the Joker - He deserves an Oscar for his unbelievable performance!! Why was he not in the "Making Of"? And I have seen no interviews with him either for such a HUGE part...Aaron Eckhart was an AWESOME White Knight", even with the little things like the blonde hair in contrast to Christian Bale's dark hair; the White Knight and the Dark Knight, etc. Dent was pretty arrogant but I guess that's what the part called for. Hat's off always to Gary Oldman, no matter who he plays - he's one of the most talented actors in the world!! Of course Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine were the perfect Fox and Alfred - this could not have been casted better. I even love the way all this started with Batman Begins and no one could play the better mentor than Liam Neeson! I am BLOW AWAY by The Dark Knight and Christopher Nolan, I LOVE YOU!! (~>And that goes for Christian Bale too!!) **OSCARS TO ALL!!**
