Gaddafi Remembered@UN?
Independent Films, Politics
Hugo Chavez cited Colonel Muammar Gaddafi as: "a great fighter, revolutionary who died a martyr." Such reflection was way more than hyperbole, but an effort to rewrite history in the face of obvious facts evidenced by Gaddafi's last few days, minutes - Gaddafi did not die fighting but pleading, and not for revolution but his own life having sacrificed so many of his countrymen in an effort to perpetuate his personality cult. Perhaps the most appropriate remembrance of Gaddafi was by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon who looked for Libya to move quickly and positively beyond its former despot.
