The US commander in charge of the NATO Training Mission in Afghanistan is moving on after two years in his post. Lieutenant General William Caldwell has seen the army and police grow to a force more than three hundred thousand strong.
The Afghan Ministry of Defense has been showing off the latest in its arsenal of weapons.
Not a bad lot considering the army was only properly stood up two years ago. In just two years, the police force has grown to one hundred and thirty six thousand and the army one hundred and seventy thousand.
