In 1972, Colonel Dawson (played by the veteran actor, Hansford Rowe; V, Dante's Peak, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Will & Grace, The Office) an elderly white officer awakes to find himself mismatched in a veterans hospital with Private Curtis (Cecil Martin; former NFL starting fullback with the Philadelphia Eagles), a young black soldier wounded in the Vietnam War. Although injured and with much difficulty breathing, Private Curtis reaches out selflessly to give the Colonel hope and encouragement despite the old man's bitterness and bigotry. The cast is rounded out by local stage actor (Nicole DeRosa) and Director/Producer/Writer (Steve Kwasnik).
