Jolie/Pitt in Sarajevo

Angelina Jolie, with Brad Pitt playing supporting role, came to Bosnia & Herzegovina to be honored by the Sarajevo Film Festival for her art and her social engagement as global citizen. Angelina Jolie also was honored by the "Heart of Sarajevo" recognition.

Angelina Jolie first began her engagement with Bosnia & Herzegovina when she came on behalf of UNHCR (the UN Refugee Agency) to highlight the continuing displacement of Bosnian refugees ethnically cleansed almost two years earlier. More recently, she has also been putting together her film directing debut based upon a story of genocide and rape victim(s) of the war.
