The Model United has grown to 2,500 student participants from around the world to help its youth learn about diplomacy, but perhaps to leave a lesson or two for the seasoned ambassador about attacking the globe's key issues. Nuclear free earth, equality for women and girls, international justice, rights of indigenous people fight to prevent preventable childhood diseases and confronting HIV/AIDS are only but some of the range of issues, but the generational transformation is how the new leaders are utilizing new media and social networking and finding a new inspiration in diplomat-artists with help of MTV and such. President A. Edward Elmendorfer, President of UNA-USA speaks with Tom Osborne as he takes on another role on welcoming the Model UN this year.
