Ending "Female Genital Mutilation" or Female circumcision has become both a UNWomen's priority and human rights consideration. Rationale as culture and religion have been employed historically by many religions in some African and Asian societies. In West Africa, confronting the superstitions and other promoted rationale is essential, especially when in Islam female genital circumcision is by proper reading of Koran strongly abhored - Is FGM as much about patriarchal dominance but also all society including maternal clinging to old cultural practices.
