Has Securitization returned to Wall Street after the international financial crisis brought about a significant reduction? Securitization constitutes many uderlying personalities, from home and commercial mortgages to auto receivables and pools of receivables. As a whole, securitization has been widely blamed for or at least associated with the crisis. How accurate is this cause and effect linkage or at least the generalization? Has much changed in the role of "synthetic CDOs," even after the Goldman Sachs charge by the SEC?
