The US Government has announced funding cuts to NASA, and the fallout saw the agency pull out of the 2016 and 2018 Missions to Mars in favor of far-off exploration of the cosmos. Steve and Ben discuss the importance of this decision, and how it could potentially symbolise the fall of American might in the shadow of the global financial crisis. However, this may lead to wider cooperation between other nations on space exploration and missions to Mars.
