The Oceans Partnership

The Global Partnership for Oceans, officially launched at the Rio+20 Conference in June 2012, is a partnership of over 100 governments, international agencies, civil society groups, and private sector companies. It mobilizes knowledge and financial resources to address the threats to the health of the world's oceans. At Rio, UN Secretary General Ban ki-Moon joined an event at which ministers and other leaders put their weight behind the new Partnership.
