Following the emergency meeting of the UN Security Council called to address the seizure of a Gaza-bound flotilla by the Israeli military, Mexico’s Ambassador Claude Heller, president of the Security Council for the month of June spoke to reporters. Ambassador Heller said the UN Secretary General is expected to follow up on the Council’s request for an investigation and warned that the incident could lead to an escalation of violence in the Middle East.”
