WhyHunger-Part2@UN

Part of our conversation "WhyHunger @ UN: Asking the Questions, Seeking the Answers."

WhyHunger organization founded by legendary musical artist Harry Chapin and Bill Ayers, one of our guests, for this interview at UNTV studios.

Hunger is an American as well as global consideration - around 15% of US population suffers from inadequate nutrition and almost a billion people go to bed hungry every night around the world. It is not only about feeding a growing population, but also about healthy farming, environment and opportunity to eat as consumer.

WhyHunger tackles the above challenges both on practical and advocacy level. WhyHunger brings together various resources, from assisting grass roots NGO's around the country and globe to catalyzing artists as Bruce Springsteen and the Stand (who are also shown in this film report. Ambassador Muhamed "mo" Sacirbey also interviews Okello Sam, founder of Hope North in Uganda (helping/feeding former child soldiers and other disadvantaged children - one of organizations supported by WhyHunger) and Chris Talbott of Cause/Effect/Agency, coordinating Hope North's support base in the US.
