The International Labor Organization just concluded its Youth Employment Forum in Geneva. The Head of the ILO Juan Somavia has been at forefront in calling for more focus on economic growth and jobs, particularly for the globe's youth who are facing an unprecedented employment crisis. Ambassador Somavia (an old colleague from Chile) has in fact accused Europe of having failed its youth - favoring austerity over jobs for its younger members.
