Laura Rohrman

Laura Rohrman (Playwright) Plays include: REPORTER GIRL (Weissberger Award Nominee, O’Neill Festival and Princess Grace Award Finalist) and MY LIFE AS YOU (Finalist Playwrights First Award). Her short plays include: BELOW 14th and WITHOUT, both Samuel French Festival Finalists. Laura has an MFA in both playwriting and acting from the New School and is a member of the Dramatist Guild.
In addition to having her plays produced with many theatres in New York City, her work has been chosen for festivals in San Francisco and London. She’s also produced other writers’ new work with her producing organization The Waverly Writers Collective.
Outside of playwriting, Laura is a professional actress, having starred in U.E., a mini-series which aired in Russia and on the International Russian channel, in addition to starring in theatre in NYC and San Francisco.
Laura is also a published journalist, blogger and online marketing specialist, who has created award-winning online marketing campaigns for companies like Starwood Hotels, Salon.com, Time Warner and DIRECTV. Laura is also a literary guru, having worked in dramaturgy and as a play evaluator for several theaters; she further proved her skills, having worked as NYC literary agent for three years.
