From France to Mongolia - Film Annex News
The films of French filmmaker Vincent Vesco, who just joined our platform, were so good that we had to feature him immediately. A director who started his career as a location scout, Vesco certainly knows how to tell a story through creating a powerful atmosphere. It was his second short film, La Tangeante that caught our attention in the first place, but we love his fashion videos too. And we curiously await the feature-length film that he is currently developing.
After stopping in France, can we take you on a trip to Mongolia with Ace Drummond? We have the ingredients for the perfect hero story: a mysterious villain to stop, a reckless young lady to save, and a fearless airplane pilot to do the work! Ace Drummond is a black & white film serial from the 1930's, originally based on a comic strip. Pay attention to the forewords at the beginning to see how awesomely these episodes were adapted to the comic. Now take your seat in Drummond's plane and see if you can resist his charm.
Lastly, we know you have been waiting for them... Here are this week's top 9 films:
The Stamp by Antanas Janauskas
The Garden of Fetish by Karlis Vitols
Little Big Love by Tomas Mankovsky
Magaba by David Mahler
Geranium by Tal Haring
