Paper Wars looks like it must have been one hell of an exhibit this past Spring in London. It's certainly a novel idea. The main site, http://www.paper-wars.com seems defunct already but there are still plenty of records of the exhibit in the blogosphere. This comes from Core 77, a design magazine.

Break out the scissors n glue sticks! Paper Wars,
an exhibition of paper reproductions of classic weapons, is on view at
the Craze Gallery in London. Not your average cut n' paste, this
exhibition, organized by PostlerFerguson,
takes their paper AK-47 kit (first published in 2007) as a point of
departure and asks participants to respond by altering the object.
Featured artists include Ben Wilson, El Ultimo Grito, Oscar and Ewan, Pixelgarten, Hiroko Shiratori, Paul Wysocan, BASE23/DC|DE and more.
Paper Wars will be on view from May 15-21.
