2008-08-25 22:00:02
Here's your chance to catch what you might have missed the first time. The UnReal Worlds animation programming event is in reprise all this week on Ovation TV. Check our schedule at http://www.ovationtv.com for more information.
The chosen submissions to the Unreal Worlds group have started to air as of 8/24/08! We chose three animations and they are all airing separately within the framing of the My Art promo to allow each their own time and focus. Congratulations to those who have been chosen! We will post the web versions before the end of the week.
And keep adding your submissions to this group. We hope to choose more of your great animations for air.
In related news...here's another animation festival to consider:
Anima 2009
The Brussels International Animation Festival
20th to the 28th February 2009 Flagey, Brussels BELGIUM
Anima, the international animation festival, will take place from
the 20th to the 28th February 2009 at Flagey, Brussels in Belgium.
This Anima 2009 Festival will be looking at the links between animation and the comic strip.
The 100 films in the international competition (short and long
films, commercials and music videos), retrospectives, expositions,
lessons in cinema, workshops for children, professional days with
‘Futuranima’, numerous special guests and the opening and closing nights make this an international event that ought not to be missed!
One can also get a better understanding of Belgian animation and its
production through a national competition, with Belgian films being
shown on the big screen. In addition to all this, there are events such
as "la Nuit animée", presentations, DJ’s and VJ’s making Anima 2009 a
real "must" for the 20 000 spectators who come each year to Flagey.
The Anima 2009 Competition:
Prize for the best feature film
Prizes for the best short films
Prize fort he best student short film
Prize for the best commercial
Prize for the best music video
Nomination for the « Cartoon d'Or »
