1. Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa - 63.5M
2. Role Models - 19.2M
3. High School Musical 3: Senior Year - 9.3M
4. Changeling - 7.3M
5. Zack and Miri Make A Porno - 6.5M
6. Soul Men - 5.6M
7. Saw V - 4.2M
8. The Haunting of Molly Hartley - 3.5M
9. The Secret Life Of Bees - 3.1M
10. Eagle Eye - 2.6M

The big story for this weekend, and the reason behind the dramatic increase in box office revenue compared to last weekend was the huge opening of MADAGASCAR: ESCAPE 2 AFRICA. We haven't had a big opening like this since the summer and its impressive 63.5M haul for the weekend will more than likely guarantee another sequel in this profitable franchise.

The North American box office took in a total of 129.1 million for the weekend 7-9 November 2008.
