Harry Potter vs Hari Puttar

Warner Bros. is suing to stop the release of an Indian film called “Hari Puttar - A Comedy of Terrors” saying that its name is too similar to the "Harry Potter" franchise.

The Indian movie is a comedy and the plot is not about a young magician and a school of witchcraft and wizardry, but Warner has commenced proceedings against parties involved in the production and distribution of the film. Mirchi Movies, that produced "Hari Puttar", declares that it has no similarity or links with "Harry Potter".

The case is being heard in the Bombay High Court and comes up for hearing Monday.
