Harry Potter 6 moved to next summer
2008-08-15 03:44:52
Bad news for Harry Potter fans: the sixth installment in the massively successful film franchise will not hit theaters in November as planned. Warner Bros, that released the first trailer two weeks ago, delayed Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince to July 17.
According to Alan Horn, Warner Bros. president, the film was moved for two reasons. “We know the summer season is an ideal window for a family tent pole release,” Horn said. "Additionally, like every other studio, we are still feeling the repercussions of the writers' strike, which impacted the readiness of scripts for other films - changing the competitive landscape for 2009."
