Italy, “Gomorra” is the most successful “auteur” film

Since the beginning of this year, Gomorra by Matteo Garrone has been the most successful “auteur” film in Italy, with 1.708.388 viewers. The movie, that will represent the country at Oscars, is followed by “American Gangster” by Ridley Scott and “The Kite Runner” by Mark Forster.
In the top 10 there are other four Italian film: “Parlami d’amore” by Silvio Cuccino (4th), “Caos Calmo” by Antonello Grimaldi (6th), “Bianco e Nero” by Cristina Comencini (8th) and “Il Divo” by Paolo Sorrentino (9th).
