Major motion multiplex cinema goes solar

Cinema West announced the installation of a 27-kilowatt solar photovoltaic system at its “Fairfax 5 Theatres” in Fairfax, California. The rooftop solar system is expected to save over $627,000 in electricity costs over the 30-year lifespan of the system. “Solar energy will not only help us offset our electricity costs, but will also reduce greenhouse emissions and propagate the environmental ideals of this progressive community”, said Dave Corkill, founder of Cinema West.
