MARKKU ALEN (LANCIA 037) CLOSED AHEAD IN THE FIRST LEG OF THE 10 ° RALLYLEGEND WHILE GUSTAVO TRELLES (TOYOTA CELICA ST 205) IS THE FIRST AMONG THE MYTH (OR SPECIAL GROUP) AND DENIS COLOMBINI (PEUGEOT 206 WRC) LEADS IN LEGEND WRC.
TOMORROW THE SECOND AND FINAL STAGE OF RALLYLEGEND 2012.
Republic of San Marino. An incredible public embrace for number of presence and warmth, a capricious weather which made the bottom of the special stages slippery and treacherous as spectacular for the evolutions of competitors. In this context the first leg of the 10th Rallylegend took place and ended in the early evening of Saturday, October 13th today, which sees on the top of the classifications high rank champions.
The Finn ace driver Markku Alen, with Ilkka Kivimaki, brought to head of the Historic Legend Lancia 037, interpreting it at its best. Despite a penalty of 20 seconds for an inadvertent cutting of the chicane, Alen preceded the Czech Miroslav Janota, with Lukas Vyoral, with the Opel Kadett Gte dated 1975, and San Marino driver Stefano Rosati, sided by Sergio Toccaceli with perky Talbot Lotus. The Ligurian Gabriele Noberasco got fourth place, with Loris Robba, debuting with the demanding Audi Quattro. Seventh overall is the great Swedish champion Bjiorn Waldegaaard, with Hans Thorszelius at notes, with the challenging and beautiful 1980 Mercedes 500 Slc. Major dropping out: the San Marino driver Giuliano Calzolari, with Corrado Costa, on the 1979 Ford Escort Rs, leading the race in the early stages and "Lucky" - "Rudy," out of the route with the admired Ferrari 308 GTB, with which they had taken control of operations.
Gustavo Trelles, the Uruguayan champion racing with Jorge Del Buono, is the leader in the Legend Myth, the Special Group cars, although debuting with Toyota Celica St 205 "designed" Magneti Marelli. Exciting duel with the Tuscan fast driver Falleri Manrico, with Sauro Farnocchia at notes betrayed, however, by the engine of his Lancia Delta 16V when he was leading the rally, after four stages.
Second place then went Mauro Miele from Varese, with Luca Beltrame, on the Bmw M3, preceding the pair Simone Romagna and Flavio Zanella, third with Lancia Delta.
Lagged for being ahead at a time control and then by a penalty for cutting a chicane, the oft-times world champion Juha Kankkunen, with Matti Janhunen, dropped out at the end of stage one.
Net domain in the Legend Wrc of San Marino driver Denis Colombini, with Roberto Scopel, at ease with Peugeot 206 Wrc, with which ruled on the Tuscan Tobia Cavallini, with Simone Scalabrini, who pulled out egregious things from the 1999 sprightly Subaru Impreza WRC. Third at the end of the first stage the Czech Karel Trneny with Stanislav Kafka, with the Skoda Octavia Wrc. The Estonian champion Makko Martin dropped out after the fifth special because of problems on Ford Focus WRC at his disposal.
