Afghan Firni: This Afghan pudding is also one of the easiest sweet dish which you can make it ready with in 5 mints, and is usually eaten after dinner.
Instruction for Afghanistan recipes:
- 3 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup sugar or more to taste
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground cardamon pistachios
- 1/2 tsp of saffron threads
Mix 1/2 cup of milk with water and cornstarch. Set aside.
Heat the rest of the milk. Add salt and sugar. Mix until the sugar disolves. Add the cornstarch mixture and stir. Add cardamon and saffron. Cook stirring constantly until it thickens, about 5 minutes. Remove and pour into serving dish. Sprinkle pistachios on top. Refrigerate until serving. I hope you enjoy it.
