Rani Hindustani my film about a woman truck driver came about when I read an article about her in the newspaper. The article about her life impressed me so much that I decided that I had to meet this woman and make a documentary on her life. She was so confident and fit in so well in this male dominated profession of truck driving.
I did not set out to make a film with a female protagonist. It just happened again and I was fascinated about my protagonist life.
