Spike Lee and his upcoming Italian film

In an interview on Repubblica.it, Spike Lee describes his upcoming film, “Miracle at St. Anna”. The movie is set in Tuscany during World War II and in contemporary New York City and Rome and is based on McBride's novel of the same name. In Italy it is set to be released in October.

The director talks about the making of the movie and blames Hollywood saying that in the past Afro-American soldiers were ignored in many war films, like The longest day (1962).
