Myriam Despujoulets studied Law at the University of Bordeaux, France, and Communications at the …cole FranÁaise des AttachÈs de Presse in Paris. She started her career in entertainment/cultural affairs in Paris working for the Communication Office at Le Louvre Museum, La GÈode (Imax theatre), La CitÈ des Sciences et de líIndustrie and the M6 television network. She then worked as a publicist/coordinator for the PR agency Le Public SystËme, fulfilling a wide range of responsibilities, from assembling to coordinating jurors and sponsors to film programming for several festivals, including the Deauville American Film Festival, the Cognac International Thriller Film Festival, the FantasticíArts Festival of GÈrardmer, the Annecy International Animated Film Festival and Italian Film Festival. Despujoulets was also in charge of the Actors Office, Protocol Services, at the Cannes International Film Festival from 1999 until 2002. After moving to the United States, she worked for the Sundance Film Festival, AFI FEST and the City of Lights/City of Angels Film Festival before joining the staff at the AFI Conservatory. Currently, she is responsible for the organization of the AFI Harold Lloyd Master Seminar and On Set With French Cinema series, and serves as Faculty and Fellow Filmmaker liaison for the Fellow Affairs Department. In June 2006, she became member of the programming selection committee for the National Geographic All Roads Film Festival. Despujoulets has also been responsible for French language quality control at Universal Studios DVCC division and translated and subtitled feature films for LVT USA.
