Trial 159: We are not meant to come back to life.

An evil force. A coerced man. A deadly and unnatural experiment.
Finding himself in a dangerous an inescapable situation, Martin is coerced by a malevolent entity to perform an otherworldly experiment on a young girl to bring her back from the after life. The experiment has nasty consequences as the girl transforms in to a hideous being with a murderous intent. Now a blood thirsty monster, the girl goes on a killing spree, with the hapless Martin only able to sit back and watch as he sees the horror unfold before him.
With no options, and forced to continue the experiment, Martin witnesses a terrifying rampage before becoming the subject of the deadly experiment himself. He eventually realises that the experiments will never end, and he is just another link in the chain of poor souls who have found themselves the victim of the malevolent, higher power.

OFFICIAL SHOOTING SCRIPT FOR TRIAL 159.
FADE IN.
Black.
SCENE 1. THE LIGHT. 1.
VICKY stands in a vast dark emptiness. Before her, she sees a bright white light, becoming brighter with each passing second. VICKY begins to feel serene, calm.
The light dims. VICKY appears afraid. VICKY holds up her hands in disbelief.
The light drains away in to a colourless blur, disappearing in to blackness.
SCENE 2. INT. EXAMINATION ROOM. 2.
Black and white blur.
VICKY POV Night vision: Showing legs, and then upper body coming in to focus. Legs and body fight frantically, but are tied down.
Blur then black.
VICKY POV Night Vision: More violent thrashing of legs and body against restraints on the table.
CUT TO -
Close on JONATHAN’s face, looking down.
WIDE: JONATHAN standing on the right looking at VICKY thrashing around on the table in front of him.
Hideous, other-worldly screech.
TITLE: “TRIAL 159”.
SCENE 3. EXT. FRONT YARD. NIGHT. 3.
VICKY POV Night Vision: Running through a suburban front yard like an animal, erratically approaching the front window. Inside the front window is NEIGHBOUR, sitting on the couch watching TV.
SCENE 4. INT. SUBURBAN HOUSE. NIGHT. 4.
NEIGHBOUR relaxes as he watches TV.
A dark shadow rises behind him.
SCENE 5. EXT. FRONT YARD. NIGHT. 5.
A loud, bone-crunching sound reverberates from the house. The lights from the front window go dark.
SCENE 6. INT. DARK, ROOM. 6.
JONATHAN stares at the glass of water in front of him, lost in his own thoughts.
SCENE 7. INT. EMPTY ROOM. 7.
VICKY POV Night Vision: A ragged blind fold covers her eyes. She nees nothing but the blind fold. She growls unnaturally.
Inaudible voices.
VICKY POV Night Vision: The blind fold comes off. She is blinded by the normal light, and screams painfully like a wild animal. Suddenly the light is switched off, and she can see normally again. She looks in front of her and sees JONATHAN. He looks at her, clinically. She tries to surge forward in attack. JONATHAN jumps back reflexively, but she cannot move as she is tied down. She screeches like a wild animal. She tips over and falls to the ground. She sees JONATHAN run out of the room. She frees herself, and throws the chair to the side. She scrambles after JONATHAN just as he slams the door shut.
SCENE 8. INT. CORRIDOR. 8.
JONATHAN runs down the corridor, scared. He frantically runs towards the exit.
SCENE 9. EXT. CAR PARK. NIGHT. 9.
JONATHAN bursts out of the exit and runs along the car park toward the grassy park and trees at the edge.
SCENE 10. EXT. PARK. NIGHT. 10.
JONATHAN is out of breath, but he keeps moving forward. Suddenly, he yelps in pain and collapses to the ground, paralysed.
DISSOLVE TO –
SCENE 11. INT. WHITE. 11.
JONATHAN wakes up, surrounded by endless white. He looks up and sees a blurry BLACK figure facing him.
JONATHAN
(V.O.)
I did what you wanted. Let me go.
BLACK FIGURE
(V.O.)
The experiment failed.
SCENE 12. EXT. PARK. NIGHT. 12.
JONATHAN lies on the ground, fearful. There is an eerie silence.
VICKY POV Night Vision: She scrambles toward JONATHAN. He screams.
BLACK.
Noises of flesh and bone being torn apart.
SCENE 13. THE LIGHT. 13.
JONATHAN stands in a vast dark emptiness. Before him, he sees a bright white light, becoming brighter with each passing second. JONATHAN begins to feel serene, calm.
The light dims. JONATHAN appears afraid. JONATHAN holds up his hands in disbelief.
