For more than quarter century United Nations has been seeking ratification of Treaty to Ban Nuclear Weapons Testing (as a critical step to also eliminate all nuclear weapons). Most states have adopted the Treaty, but a few critical holdouts like China, Russia, India, Pakistan, Israel and the United States have not signed/ratified.

As United Nations Messenger of Peace, Michael Douglas has been seeking ratification for well over a decade, including his personal battle with cancer. Michael Douglas has now also helped launch a revitalized campaign-"Art for Peace".
