Haiti Irrigation

Irrigation canals in the Haitian Southern town of Torbeck are undergoing rehabilitation to increase the agricultural production in the area. The work is being financed by the UN Development Program in cooperation with the World Food Program and was launched after the July 12 earthquake. It has helped provide work for about 768 people, 50% of which are women displace by the earthquake.
