Women as Enemy
Independent Films, Women, Social Responsibility Movies
Women and girls have been seen as the spoils of war just in the recent past. Most recently, they have been targets in conflict and agenda, from Bosnia & Herzegovina to DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo). Women have not been merely collateral damage, and now that they lead as well as participate in protests calling for democracy, reforms and freedom, they are seen by many despotic authorities as the enemy.
This film report from UNHCR - the UN Refugee Agency. Women and girls from around the world who have been forcibly diplaced share their experiences of sacrifice and inspiration.
