Yemeni families are facing multiple challenges driven by global forces and the international economy to domestic political turmoil and ongoing conflict. From food and fuel prices spikes to a structurally deficient economy, the world wide recession has some of the greatest impact upon families that are at the breaking point. Yemen is the poorest country in the Arab World, and it is not getting better. Facing insurgencies and a battle with an Al-Qaeda offshoot, another Yemeni generation is at risk of being lost to despair.
