The Sky Turned Red

An experimental non-fiction.
Looking at the relationships between family, work, relationships and isolation. This piece takes its inspiration from a metal forge in Darlaston, Walsall in the UK.
The subtitles draw inspiration from journal entries during World War II and the industrial revolution, they connect with a visceral and emotional resonance to the visuals on screen.

This film should feel as at home on your screen as it would in a cinema, or an art gallery. Enjoy.

Shot using the Canon 7D and a variety of lenses including a MIR 20mm f3.5, 135mm f2.8, Canon 35mm f2.0 and. 50mm 1.4.
