Karlis Vitols is a 1997 graduate of Rozentals Art College, Master of the Humanities in Painting, the Latvian Academy of Arts. His work in authorial animation has been presented internationally. The films THE RED GLOVE and KLOIJHI were included in the selection of the Latvian alternative film. His animated film “Trophy” was awarded the BEST ANIMATION of BALTIC STATES award at the “International Film Forum ARSENALS 2004.” Vitols was also nominated for the "best animation artist” at National Film Forum "Lielais Kristaps 2005" (Latvia). In 2007, his film “Garden of Fetish” was an official selection at the Oberhousen Short Film Festival in Germany. But short "ECLIPSE" was official selection at Annecy 2010! He is currently working on a 5 min short, a classic 2D animation called "Robot Virus."
