We discovered Lisa Stock, this week’s featured filmmaker, with her short film Brothers and Sisters, which put us right in the middle of a poetic dream. We started to explore her world, one that is full of mythic and magical characters you'd only see in fairy tales. Her next feature film, Titania, which already has a Prequel to get you excited won’t be an exception to the rule. After legendary creatures, here comes the legendary John Wayne. You remember him from The Searchers and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, but do you know him as Larry Baker, the airplane pilot who tries to catch his father’s murderer? That’s the story of The Hurricane Express, a 12-chapter black and white serial from 1932. In addition to the universal story of the good man versus the mysterious villain, you’ll also see some action with car races and fights, and even a love story. Nothing better than an old classic movie with a young John Wayne playing the hero!
